Police Chief

The Town of Springerville is accepting applications for the position of Police Chief. This exempt position reports directly to the Town Manager and is appointed by the Town Council. The hiring range for the position is $66,872 to $76,897.60. Qualified applicants should submit a letter of interest, their resume, reference letter(s) and a completed application. Applicants who submit the requested documents will receive a questionnaire that is to be filled out and returned to the Town. Employment applications will be received up until June 23, 2020. The Town intends for the new Police Chief to begin working on or after August 31, 2020. The Springerville Police Department has been serving the citizens of Springerville since 1870. It is our mission to provide a safe and secure environment while improving the quality of life for the public we serve. In addition, we enforce the laws and preserve the peace while protecting the rights of all. We serve a community of about 2,000 people that covers an area of about 30 square miles. Our department is very active in community policing and we try to get involved in all aspects of the community.  We are in the White Mountains of Arizona and we couldn’t ask for a more beautiful place to live and serve.
