The Towns of Springerville and Eagar have issued a Stage 2 Fire Restriction Proclamation, effective Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 6:00 a.m., due to extreme fire danger and dry conditions. These restrictions are being implemented to help reduce the risk of wildfires and protect our communities, property, firefighters, and natural resources.Residents and visitors are urged to use extreme caution and comply with all fire restrictions. Tourism Tax Committee

The Springerville Tourism Tax Committee was created as an advisory committee by the Town Council to make recommendations to the Town Manager and Town Council regarding the expenditure of the 1% tourism tax revenues, specifically for events that promote Springerville. The Committee is comprised of two members who are citizens of the Round Valley area (appointed by the Town Council) as well as the Springerville Finance Director and the Springerville Heritage Museum Director. The maximum amount given to an applicant by the committee is $750. Applications for funding should be directed to the Heritage Museum Director at [email protected].

Meetings:

The Committee shall determine its meeting times, dates, and location and shall comply with the State of Arizona open meeting law.

In the event the committee is unable to form a quorum within thirty (30) days of receiving an application, the application will be forwarded to the Town Council for their consideration without the Committee’s recommendation.
